Using Discord on your Xbox console is easier than you think. While your Xbox has everything you need to voice chat, sometimes you'll want to enjoy a cross-platform game with friends or chat with people who aren't using an Xbox. Connecting your accounts is quick and easy; you only need the Discord and Xbox apps.

How to link your Discord and Xbox accounts
We recommend linking your accounts via the mobile apps, as you'll need the Discord app regardless of whether you sign up via desktop or mobile.
- Download the Discord and Xbox apps.
- Make sure you download the correct Xbox app.
- Sign in to both apps.
- You'll need to create Microsoft and Discord accounts if you don't already have them.
You'll need to be signed in to your Xbox and Discord apps whenever you use Discord voice chat on your Xbox console, so don't uninstall either app once you've completed the s.etup
Once you've signed into both apps, you're ready to connect your accounts. You can do this via either app, so pick one of the methods below.
Method 1: How to use the Discord app to connect your Xbox and Discord accounts.
- Open the Discord app.
- Tap your Profile icon in the bottom right of your screen.
- Tap the Connections button to see your linked accounts.
- Tap the Add button in the top right of your screen to link your Xbox account.2 Images
- Scroll down and tap the Xbox button.

- Tap Continue to sign in to your Xbox account.
- If you haven't signed in to the Xbox app, you'll be prompted to enter your Microsoft username and password. Once you're signed in, you'll be sent to the next step.

Method 2: How to use the Xbox app to connect your Xbox and Discord accounts.
- Open the Xbox app.
- Tap your Profile icon in the bottom right of your screen.
- Tap Continue at the bottom of your screen; this will send you to the Discord app.2 Images
- If you haven't signed in to the Discord app, you'll be prompted to enter your Microsoft username and password.

How to use Discord voice chat on Xbox
When you're ready, start up your Xbox console and open the Discord app on your phone. Assuming you're still signed in to both the Xbox and Discord apps, follow the steps below to join a voice call on your Xbox:
- Open the Discord app.
- Tap the voice chat channel you wish to connect to.
- Tap Try voice chat on console! at the bottom of your screen.
- Tap Join on Xbox.
- Do not tap Join Voice; this will connect to the call via your phone.
- Your Xbox app will now open; tap Transfer Voice to complete the process.3 Images
Chat on Discord from your Xbox
