McDonald’s Is Bringing Back Its Popular Adult Happy Meals in December

This adult Happy Meal has brand-new McNugget toys!
Who says Happy Meals are only for kids? While Happy Meals have gone through changes over the years, one thing remains the same: kids and adults love ’em! From the collectable toys to crispy Chicken McNuggets and classic fries, Happy Meals hold a special place in our hearts.
Last year, McDonald’s released adult Happy Meals in collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market. Well, they were such a hit that McD’s is back with an all-new collab, this time with artist, creative director, host and icon Kerwin Frost. And he brought along some brand-new McNugget Buddies.
Make room next to your Halloween McNugget buddies for this “reimagined” McDonald’s throwback.
What’s in the adult Happy Meal?
This year’s adult Happy Meal (officially called the Kerwin Frost Box) is full of McDonald’s classics and new McNugget toys. First, customers choose between a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and a Big Mac. Both meals comes with fries, a soft drink and one of six Kerwin Frost-designed McNugget Buddy collectible toys. ’90s kids, are you ready to add to your beloved collection?
Heads up: Your soda won’t come from a self-serve fountain.
Who are the new McNugget Buddies?
The new buddies—Kerwin Frost, Don Bernice, Uptown Moe, Waffutu, BRRRICK and Darla—have mix-and match outfits with unique stories.
Kerwin Frost is described as “the Mayor of Frost Way” who adores art and helps encourage the other Buddies. Meanwhile, Uptown Moe is a supportive street savvy Neighborhood Hero, Darla is a soft-spoken and self-assured singer and Waffutu is a lovable optimist. BRRRICK, aka “The Cool Guy,” is an adventurous, pun-speaking, techno music fan and Don Bernice is “The Wise Stylist” who makes outfits for all the other Buddies.
While the toys are new, the nostalgic McNugget Buddies from Frost’s childhood acted as a source of inspiration.
When can I get an adult happy meal?
The Kerwin Frost Box drops on Monday, December 11. Not too long to wait! Plus, part of the proceeds will go to the Harlem Arts Alliance (HAA), an organization that helps elevate and amplify artists. That’s a total win-win.
